Too much debt? Too much stress? Looking for a fresh start? If you live in Leesburg, Ashburn, Sterling, or some of the other surrounding areas in Loudoun County and are contemplating bankruptcy as a solution to your problems then you have come to the right place.
Since the beginning of 2009 I have practiced exclusively bankruptcy law. As such, over the course of these years I have had the occasion to have lots of conversations with many people from different walks of life and background. These discussions have led me to conclude one key thing: The fact that you are now at a point in your life where you are considering bankruptcy as a solution is NOT your fault. The vast majority of people seeking bankruptcy relief do so as a measure of last resort after exhausting all other options.
I know that you had never planned or intended to file for bankruptcy. I know that you never thought that you would find yourself in this position. I also know that you have probably drained your retirement account, attempted to negotiate with the banks and credit card companies, and sometimes even borrowed money from friends and family, all in an effort to avoid having to declare bankruptcy.
I am also aware of the fact that the road that has led you to this moment has nothing to do with living beyond your means or being irresponsible.
The reason that you are now faced with a pending foreclosure, a Warrant in Debt, harassing phone calls from collection agencies, or a bank/wage garnishment has to do with the fact that:
Finally, I know that calling a bankruptcy lawyer to discuss your financial problems is about as much fun as calling a dentist to discuss the possibility of getting a root canal done. However, while you might not believe me at this point, while you might be feeling skeptical, the odds are that you will feel a whole lot better after you file your bankruptcy case and obtain that fresh start that you are looking for.
Why choose the Law Office of Robert S. Brandt as your bankruptcy lawyer?
Let’s face it, there is no shortage of lawyers here in the Loudoun County. So why select me as your bankruptcy attorney? Well, for starters, if you look at virtually all websites for lawyers in the Loudoun area you will find that just about all of them handle several or sometimes many different areas of the law. You will find that many law firms handle divorce cases, traffic cases, personal injury cases AND bankruptcy cases. I do not. My practice areas consist of bankruptcy cases, bankruptcy cases, and yup, you guessed it, more bankruptcy cases (from time to time I will also defend someone who was just served with a Warrant in Debt).
I am good at what I do, but there is no need for you to take my word for it. I can sit here and rave about what a wonderful bankruptcy attorney I am, but I have a feeling that you might take what I have to say about myself with a grain of salt. I cannot say that I a blame you. After all, the old saying “trust but verify” is a good mantra to live by. So, with that in mind, if you would like to see what some of my past bankruptcy clients have said about me over the years simply click in on the “Click Here for Recent Client Reviews” link at the top of this page which will take you to my Google reviews. You can also find some other reviews on Yahoo and some on Avvo.
I do not need to turn every person that walks into my office into a bankruptcy client. Sometimes I run into clients who may qualify for bankruptcy, but they simply do not need to file because there is an alternative solution to their problems. Just because you qualify for bankruptcy does not necessarily mean that you should file for bankruptcy. Perhaps you are only being hounded by one single creditor. Or, there are simply instances where filing for bankruptcy is not necessary because you would be better served by filing down the road or simply not at all. If that is the case I will be the first to tell you.
Finally, to answer your question as to why you should hire me to repair your finances, well geography and convenience matter. I keep an office in Alexandria, Virginia which is 5 minutes away from the bankruptcy court (for more information about my Alexandria office please visit www.brandtlawfirm.com ) and my second office is in downtown Leesburg. So, if you live somewhere in between you can to select what works best for you, either my Alexandria or Leesburg office.
